Bonnie J. Born, age 83 of Waseca, died on Sunday, May 2, 2010 at her home. Private family services are being planned. McRaith Funeral Home and Crematory of Waseca is handling arrangements. Bonnie Jean was born on September 2, 1926 in Waseca, Minnesota to Fred and Daisy (Keller) VonSien. She was a graduate of Waseca Central High School. On May 3, 1946 Bonnie was united in marriage to Harold Robert Born at the Congregational Church in Waseca. Bonnie and Harold raised their family and resided in Waseca their entire married life. Over the years Bonnie worked for E.F. Johnson Co. in Waseca, and served as the librarian at the Waseca Library. Throughout her life Bonnie was an active member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and playing bridge. Her family and her home were at the center of Bonnie''s life. She is survived by her daughter Susan (Cory) Boje of Waseca and her son Louis (Mary) Born of Winona; by her grandchildren Justin (Rebecca Lynn) Born, Shannon (Kristopher) McAbee, Alexandra Boje, Samantha Boje, Dex Boje, and her great grandchildren Ava McAbee, Finnegan McAbee, and Sullivan Louis Born; by her son-in-law Jack Shafer of Waseca. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold on June 14, 1995, and her daughter Judy Shafer on August 25, 2002
