Bonita J. Flemming
BONITA JUNE FLEMMING, age 87 of rural Waldorf, died peacefully with family at her side on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato.
Born on February 13, 1928 in Waseca, Minnesota she was the daughter of Clement and Mary (Meyer) Hasher. Bonita was baptized March 25, 1928 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mankato. She was later confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville on March 29, 1942. Bonita attended country school, Trinity Lutheran School in Janesville and graduated from Janesville High School. She married Marvin Flemming on June 16, 1948 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville. She was a homemaker and they lived on the farm near Waldorf where Marvin was born. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Waldorf.
Bonita is survived by five sons, Eugene and Diane of Hastings, Dean and Sandy of Sawyer, ND, Duane and Kris of Waseca, Darrel and Linda of Janesville, and Alan and Patty of Waldorf; two daughters, Gail and Bill Anderson of Lake Crystal and Lisa and Todd Traynor of Janesville; seventeen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Reuben and Mary Jane Prail of Janesville, David and Elaine Prail of Cedar Falls, IA, Joann Spies of Waseca, and Regina and Russell Hart of Alhambra, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2015 from 3-7 PM at Dennis Funeral and Cremation Services in Waseca and continue on Friday one hour prior to the service at the church.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 3, 2015 at 11:00 AM at First Lutheran Church in Waldorf with Rev. Michael Mathews officiating. Burial will follow at First Lutheran Cemetery in Waldorf.
