Beverly Sylvara, age 67, of Janesville, died peacefully on Friday, January 18, 2019 at the Janesville Nursing Home.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 24, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville with Rev. Paul Muther, officiating.
Visitation will be prior to the service on Thursday from 9-11 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville.
Beverly Jean was born on October 13, 1951, in Wells to Willard and Marvel (Korman) Huper. She attended school in Bricelyn and graduated from Wells High School with the class of 1969. Beverly attended beauty school in Mankato. She was a beautician throughout her life, owning and operating Golden Touch in Waseca for several years, also doing hair at Lakeshore Inn Nursing Home in Waseca and Park Road Plaza in Janesville. She was united in marriage in 1971 to Daren Sylvara. Together they had two children and were later divorced.
Beverly was an avid gardener. She enjoyed tending to her flowers and vegetables and canning her produce. Beverly was a fabulous cook and loved to read. She had a huge heart and would do anything for her family. Beverly cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.
Beverly is survived by her loving fianc for over 20 years, Dave Blasing of Janesville; two children: Alisha (Michael) Melhus of Rogers, and Brett Sylvara of Janesville; two grandchildren: Mack Melhus and Braxton Sylvara; many step grandchildren; parents: Willard and Marvel Huper of Wells; brothers: Tom (Angie) Huper of Wells, and Steve (Kim) Huper of Wells; sister-in-law, Karen Huper of Wells; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Daniel Huper.
