Beulah I. Reed April 20, 1920 - March 21, 2016
Beulah Trembley Reed, 95, of Faribault, MN and formerly of Slayton, MN, passed away in Faribault on March 21, 2016. She had been a resident of Faribault Senior Living until recently when she was transferred to St. Lucas Care Center in Faribault.
Beulah Irene was born on April 20, 1920, in Currie, MN, to Anna (Regnier) Trembley and George Trembley. She was raised in the Currie, Lake Wilson, and Slayton area, and graduated from Slayton High School in 1938. On September 14, 1939, Beulah was married to Dale Reed and they farmed south of Slayton until 1963 when they moved to Slayton. Beulah worked for the family farm store business for 20 years as bookkeeper. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America for over 60 years. She was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society and also enjoyed many crafts, golf, and cards. In 2008, because of failing health, Beulah moved to Faribault, MN, to be closer to her daughter, Linda.
Beulah is survived by two daughters: Connie (Ted) Gaasch of San Diego, CA, and Linda Reed of Faribault, MN; four grandsons: Tim (Maureen) Gaasch of Carpinteria, CA; Tom (Christine) Gaasch of Encinitas, CA; Todd (Renee) Gaasch of Camas, WA; and Terry Gaasch of Escondido, CA; five great grandchildren: Samantha, Jon, Devin, Garrett, and Evan Gaasch; and friend of family, Grace Voracek of Faribault.
Beulah was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and 11 siblings.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault, MN. Memorial visitation will be from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the church.
Burial will be at St. Ann''s Catholic Cemetery in Slayton, MN on Monday, April 25th at 11:00 a.m.
