Betty M. Frank April 17, 1927 - April 3, 2014

Elizabeth "Betty" Frank, age 86, of Mankato and formerly of St. Clair, died Thursday, April 3, 2014 at the Mayo Health Systems ~ Mankato.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. John''s Evangelical Lutheran Church in St. Clair, with Reverend Matthew Grunewald, officiating. Interment will be held at the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Arrangements are being completed by the Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory of Janesville.

Betty Margaret, the daughter of Fred and Frances (Ulschmid) Palmer, was born on April 17, 1927 in Becker County, near Frazee, Minnesota. She attended school in Frazee and graduated from the Frazee High School with the class of 1945. Betty then began working at the Frazee Creamery Company until moving to Mankato in 1947. After moving to Mankato, she worked at various places in town including: Montgomery Wards, Holt Motor Company and also at Matt Graif Clothing Company. On December 5, 1953, Betty was united in marriage to Harland H. Frank in St. Clair. They had three children together and farmed in St. Clair until his death on February 7, 1988. Betty also served as Postal Clerk at the St. Clair Post Office for several years. She enjoyed being active at the St. John''s Evangelical Lutheran Church in many different ways, the St. Clair American Legion Auxiliary, Sugar and Spice Extension Club, the 500 Card Club and also traveled with the Prime Timers. Betty also enjoyed gardening, playing cards, crocheting, bowling and spending time with her family and friends at Laurels Edge Assisted Living in Mankato.

She is survived by her children, Jane (Fred) Holasek of Lester Prairie, MN, Robert (Kathy) Frank of Dallas, TX, and Diane Frank of Seattle, WA; her grandchildren, Alan (fianc Emily) Holasek and Jay Holasek; her siblings, Marian (Gene) Stoll of Dent, MN and Rodger (Elaine) Palmer of Frazee, MN; her sister-in-law, Hazel DeMars of Mankato, and

by many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Harland; her siblings, Kermit Palmer, Vivian (Norbert) Rohr and Dorothy Roes; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Carl (Norma) Wobschall, Charles (Alice) Warner and LaVerne DeMars.
