BETTY J. (TANO) COLE, age 91 of Waseca, died on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Lake Shore Inn in Waseca.
Born on February 1, 1925 in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, she was the daughter of William and Beulah (Charnley) Rossiter.   She attended school in Grand Rapids.  She married Bernard Tano on July 31, 1948 in Grand Rapids.   Betty was employed with Northwestern Bell/US West for 40 years.   She married Bernard Cole on December 3, 1999 in Burnsville.  Betty enjoyed volunteering and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waseca, Telephone Pioneers, and the VFW, American Legion and Eagles Auxiliaries. 
She is survived by her husband, Bernard "Bud" Cole of Waseca; two children, Candi (Joe) Diaz of St. Paul and Ross (Tina) Tano of Lakeville; and two grandchildren, Derek Tano and Jaclyn Tano.    She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Bernard Tano, and one sister, Cecelia Foix. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 24, 2016 at 10:00 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 314 – 4th Ave. NE, in Waseca.  Visitation will be held on Friday from 9:00 AM until the time of services at the church.   Burial will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
