BERYL ROSS, age 92, of Waseca, died on Friday, February 11, 2022, at her home in Waseca.
Born on October 10, 1929, in Mount Pleasant, Cambridge, England to Ernest and Lillian (Garner) Graves. She attended Cambridge High School and graduated with the class of 1946. Beryl was married to Floyd Albert Dillon and they later divorced. On March 20, 1965, Beryl was united in marriage to Gary Ross in Northwood, Iowa and they later divorced. She worked several jobs throughout her life, which included working at Casey’s General Store as a donut maker, Herters, Birds Eye, EF Johnson Co., school as a cook manager and most recently as a bartender at the Boxcar. She enjoyed traveling, spoon collecting, fishing, gardening, and spending time in the outdoors and with her family. In her younger years, Beryl liked to ride horses and continued to love animals throughout her life. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waseca.
Beryl is survived by her children: Michael (Sharon) Graves of Horton, KS, Charles (Penny) Dillon of Holmen, WI, Stewart (Connie) Dillon of Mankato, Gloria (Billy) McKinzie of Waseca, Karen (Bert) Anderson of Waseca, Lisa Ross of Waseca and Gene Ross of Waseca; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; former husband, Gary Ross of Waseca; siblings: Jeff (Ann) Graves of Gallatin, TN and Sylvia Shaw of Cambridge, England; son-in-law: Don Smith of Owatonna; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Susan Smith; grandson, Jared Dillon; sisters: Elaine, Pauline, Audrey, and Joy.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 1:00 PM – 2:45 PM followed by a prayer service on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at the State Street Chapel of Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca. Interment will follow in Woodville Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Tuesday.
