Faribault - Barbara Louise (Lenway) Molby, age 74, of Faribault and formerly of Anchorage, Fairbanks and Wasilla, Alaska and Cottonwood, Arizona, died Thursday, July 29, 2010 at her home in Faribault. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the New Life Church at 525 Beverly Street, Wanamingo. Lunch will follow. Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery next to her husband, Carl. Barbara Louise, the daughter of Harold and Adeline (Brekken) Lenway, was born June 17, 1936 in Faribault, MN. She was raised in Faribault and Kenyon, graduated from Kenyon High School. She was united in marriage to Carl Molby on June 5, 1955 in Kenyon, MN. Following their marriage, they lived in Minnesota, Arizona, Ohio and Alaska where she spent much of her time as a home maker with employment as an office worker and is best known for her knitting, especially for family and friends. After her husband retired, they operated an RV tour business for seven years and they enjoyed taking caravans from the lower 48 to see the sites in Alaska. She is survived by four children, Carleen and Brian Mangold of Eagle River, AK, Douglas and Randi Markussen of Anchorage, AK, Scott Molby of Oronoco, MN and Diane and Dave Penrose of San Diego, CA; 15 grandchildren; one great-grand child; three sisters, Judith (and Jarvis) Anderson of Plainview, Kathy (and Jim) Haug of Plainview, and Debbie Lenway of Faribault; four brothers, Gary (and Linda) Lenway of Lakewood, CO, David Lenway of Faribault, Mark (and Mary Lazaretti) of Kenyon, and Galen (and Deb) Lenway of Faribault; by brothers and sisters-in-law Elsie Norman of Seattle WA, Arnold and Esther Molby of Brainerd MN and Alfred and Terese Molby of Zephyr Hills FL; and by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl, her parents; her brother, Richard Lenway. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to be given to Right to Life, programs to feed the hungry or to the donor''s choice.
