ASHLEY ROBINSON, age 32, of St. Clair, died unexpectedly on Sunday, October 10, 2021, at United Hospital in St. Paul.
Born on March 27, 1989, at Children Hospital in Rochester to Mark and Judy (Weinert) Cheney. Ashley Grew up on the family farm outside of Elysian and attended W-E-M schools with the class of 2007. After graduation she moved to Mankato and worked at Culvers while taking college classes. She loved to be silly and have fun with her friends. In 2009, she welcomed her first daughter Annie Rose, followed by Isabella May in 2011, and Alexis Lynn in 2013. Ashley was a hard working single mother and always made sure the girls were taken care of and enjoying life. she loved to cook and bake as well as craft. She was great at crocheting and was known for making blankets. Ashley found true love when she met Chris Schlie a couple of years ago and became a wonderful bonus mom to Eva and Wesson. In 2020, Ashley and Chris bought a house together in St. Clair. They enjoyed riding motorcycle, camping, boating and taking their kids on fun adventures. Ashley was a member of Hosanna Lutheran Church in Mankato. She was a beloved auntie, daughter, sister, cousin, granddaughter and will be missed by all whose lives she has touched as such a kind soul!
Ashley is survived by her children: Annie Rose, Isabella May and Alexis Lynn all of St. Clair; boyfriend, Chris Schlie of St. Clair; bonus children: Eva and Wesson of St. Clair; mother, Judy Cheney of Elysian; siblings: Casey (Tracey) Robinson of St. Charles and Zach Cheney of Elysian; grandmother, Gerry Cheney of Cambridge; other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her father, Mark Cheney.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at the Waterville Chapel of Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM on Friday, October 29, 2021, at Hosanna Lutheran Church in Mankato. Interment will be in Westford Cemetery in Truman.
