Arlene R. Grob August 3, 1930 - June 19, 2013

Arlene R. Grob, age 82, of Waseca, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at the Lake Shore Inn of Waseca.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca, with Father Martin Schaefer, officiating. Interment will be held at the Calvary Cemetery in Waterville.

Visitation will be held at the McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory of Waseca on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and for one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday morning. There will be a 7:00 p.m. parish prayer service at the funeral home on Friday evening.

Arlene was born on August 3, 1930, and she and the apple of her eye, Richard, were married in 1950 where they farmed in Iosco Township until moving to Waseca in 1967. While raising her five daughters was her most important career, she also worked for Federated Insurance in Owatonna, MN, and for E. F. Johnson in Waseca. She will be most remembered for her undying love of her husband and family, as well as her love of friends and neighbors, travel, playing cards, fishing, camping, cooking and baking, mimosas on Mother''s Day, and never driving past a casino. She was active in the church, Catholic Daughters, and volunteering at Lake Shore Inn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edna and John Tuve, and step-father, George Kritzer; and brother, Edwin Tuve.

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Richard of Waseca; daughter, Barbara (Scott) Taylor of Fairfax, VA; daughter, Karen (Frank) Weber of Independence, IA; daughter, Susan (David) Zimmer of Eatonton, GA; daughter, Donna (Randy) Renze of Ankeny, IA; and daughter, Sandra (Brian) Sjoberg of Shoreview, MN; 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Also survived by brother, Stanley (Jeanne) Tuve of Waterloo, IA; sister-in-law, Marie Tuve, several nieces and nephews, and extended family members

and friends.

Arlene''s family would like to extend many thanks to the staff at Lake Shore Inn, Owatonna Hospice, Fr. Marty and Sr. Lois, for the love, care and humor they provided to Arlene during her final weeks of life.
