Arlene Elaine (Christianson) Rudolph, 90, passed away at 10:10 pm on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Oaklawn Health Care Center in Mankato, MN.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville. Interment will be held at St. John''s Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Iosco Township.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Arnoldt- McRaith Funeral Home in Janesville and for one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.

Arlene was the second daughter of Theodore and Mary (Nelson) Christianson and was born on the family farm (7 miles west and 2 miles south of Osage, IA) on July 7, 1925. She was confirmed May 28, 1939 at Rock Creek (Norwegian) American Lutheran Church in Rural Osage, IA. She attended Cedar No 7 and Rock No 7 country schools and graduated from Osage High School with the class of 1943.

Arlene attended 1 year of classes at Luther College before teaching 2 years at Rock No 7 rural school and then taught 3rd grade in St Ansgar, IA for 1 year. She returned to Luther College and finished a 2 year teacher certification in May 1948. She then taught 6th grade for 3 years in Clear Lake, IA. Arlene did obtained her 4 year Teaching degree at Mankato State University in 1984.

On July 3, 1955, Arlene was married to Delmer Darold Rudolph at Rock Creek (Norwegian) American Lutheran Church in Rural Osage, IA. She then moved to Janesville, MN where she lived for 55 years. During the course of her marriage, she gave birth to Darold Dean Rudolph of Dallas, TX and Colleen Jean (Rudolph) Tucker of Brooklyn Park, MN.

Prior to the birth of her children, Arlene was employed at the Waseca Montgomery Ward

Catalog Office for 3 years. She was also Janesville''s tax assessor for 10 years. The last 4 years of her life, she lived in Mankato at Brookdale Senior Living and then at Oaklawn Health Care Center.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents (both in 1964), husband, Delmer Darold Rudolph on July 7, 1990 and her sister, Inez Jeannette Christianson on July 1, 2002.

She is survived by her son, Darold Rudolph and her daughter Colleen, son-in-law Ed Tucker, and grandchildren Nick & Natalie Tucker.
