Ardis E. Erdman November 25, 1932 - August 10, 2016
Ardis E. Erdman, age 83, of Janesville, MN, died on, Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at the Janesville Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville, with the Rev. Larry Griffin and Rev. Paul Muther, officiating. Interment will be held at the St. John''s Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the Janesville Nursing Home or Trinity Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and will continue at the church on Monday for one hour prior to services. Arrangements are with the Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home of Janesville. Ardis E. Erdman was born on November 25, 1932 in Wells, MN to Edward and Olga (Besser) Klingbeil. She was baptized and later confirmed at Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Wells. Ardis graduated from Wells High School in 1951 and went on to Cosmetology School in Mankato. On November 24, 1956 Ardis was united in marriage to Harlan Erdman at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville. Ardis worked at several salons before obtaining her managers license and started Erdman''s Beauty Shop out of her home. She later began working for Brown Printing in Waseca and did so for 20 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Ardis enjoyed reading, playing cards and country music. She especially enjoyed going to Friday night dances at the Mankato Ball Room with Harlan. Ardis cherished the time she spent with her family and friends. Ardis'' family would like to give a special thank you to the Janesville Nursing Home for the amazing care that Ardis received over the last 11 years. Ardis is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Harlan of Janesville; her sons: Wayne of Philadelphia, Ohio and Russell of Dodge Center; her daughter, Cheryl (Lee) Daschner of Elysian; 3 grandchildren: Trisha, Phillip and Ben Daschner; 4 great grandchildren Jesson, Ashton, Ellery and Violet; sister, Ethel Wick of Mapleton; sister-in-law, Arleen Klingbeil of Wells; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents and her 7 siblings.
