Apolinar Cantu May 8, 1970 - January 3, 2009

Apolinar "Paul" Cantu Jr., age 38, of Faribault, died Saturday, January 3, 2009 at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, following a sudden illness. Private family services will be held. Arrangements are with the Parker Kohl Funeral Home of Faribault. Apolinar Cantu Jr., the son of Apolinar P. Cantu Sr. and Alicia Rodriguez, was born on May 8, 1970 in Weslaco, TX. He was raised in Santa Maria, TX. Paul was always very intelligent at a young age. Since his youth, he has battled through many medical issues. He devoted much of his time to reading and learning about many things. Paul attended college at Pan American University in Texas, and just recently moved to Faribault to live with his family. He is survived by his parents, Apolinar Cantu Sr. of Monte Alto, TX and Alicia Rodriguez of Faribault; two sisters, Minnie Cantu and Ruth C. (Martin) Ramon, both of Faribault; nephews, Bryan and David Cantu; nieces, Myranda Santarrosa, and Kimberly and Zenaida Ramon; and great niece, Thelma Santarrosa.
