ANTHONY “TONY” PAUL STALOCH, age 71 of Janesville, passed away on the evening of Friday, December 20, 2024 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester as a result of injuries sustained in a tragic automobile accident which occurred on Thursday, December 19, 2024.
Tony was born in Albert Lea on December 23, 1952 to Quentin and Constance “Connie” (Japp) Staloch. He attended school in Minnesota Lake and graduated with the class of 1970. On November 17, 1973, he was united in marriage to Patricia Mae DeMars at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Mankato. They put down roots in Janesville and soon welcomed two wonderful children. Tony worked in the printing industry for most of his adult life and became a Master Pressman before taking on his most recent courier role for UC Laboratory. He was a faithful man, Lay Minister, and a long-time parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church in Janesville. He often served communion, taught catechism, and volunteered countless hours with the local food shelf. Tony was a lover of nature, often wandering through the woods, tending to his garden, or gathering herbs for homemade remedies. He enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, and was an avid follower of all Minnesota sports teams. Above all, Tony's greatest joy came from his family, especially his grandchildren. He cherished every moment with them, whether attending their activities or simply spoiling them with his love. Tony embraced love, peace, and kindness. His legacy to “love one another” will live on through his family, friends, and all who knew him.
Tony is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Patricia “Pat” Staloch of Janesville; his father, Quentin Staloch and his special friend Kathi Reid of Minnesota Lake; two children, Jacob (Katie) Staloch of Janesville and Amber (Andy) Gostomczik of Byron; eight grandchildren, Kamden, Sadie, Kyla, Quentin, Trey, Zane, Oliver, and Camilla; and six siblings, Tom (Cathy) Staloch of San Angelo, TX, Ric (Nancy) Staloch of Wells, Katie Staloch and her significant other Robert Skene of Mankato, Boyd (Kelly) Staloch of Port Lavaca, TX, Karre Staloch and her significant other Luke Hegler of Mankato, and Joe (Renea) Staloch of Canby, OR. He was preceded in death by his mother and one sister, Kelli Staloch.
