Ann A. Cornell, age 93, of Faribault, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 4, 2013 at the Pleasant Manor Nursing Home in Faribault after a brief illness.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault. Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Faribault.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9:30 -10:30 a.m. at the church.

Arrangements are with the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.

Ann A., the daughter of George and Mary (Driessen) Van Den Boom, was born on April 8, 1920 in Kimberly, WI. Her family moved to Faribault when she was two years old. She was united in marriage to Edgar A. Cornell on October 26, 1938 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Faribault. She and Ed operated the Faribault Bus Service from 1940 - 1962. They later vacationed in Arizona for years. Ed preceded her in death on April 18, 1985. Ann volunteered at Immaculate Conception Church for years, and was a member of the Daughters of Isabella and the Faribault Aerie 1460 Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary.

She is survived by her son, Gerald (Barbara) Cornell of Faribault; two grandchildren, Chrisann (Mark) Rauzi of Lakeville and Eric (Patty) Cornell of Owatonna; four great grandchildren, Benjamin and Nicole Rauzi, and Marissa and Ryan Cornell; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed; parents; siblings, Martina Schweisthal, Joe Van Den Boom, Tom Van Den Boom, Bertha Stadler and Leonard Van Den Boom; and an infant grandson.

Memorials may be directed to the Faribault Area Hospice in memory of Ann.
