Alma Bosacker
ALMA LILLIE BOSACKER, age 97 of Kilkenny, died on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at her granddaughters home in North Morristown.
Born on May 30, 1918 in Elysian Township, Le Sueur County, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Edward and Alma (Roemhildt) Steinberg. She was baptized on July 7, 1918 and confirmed on March 29, 1931 at St. Peters "Bell" Lutheran Church by Pastor Albrecht. Alma attended St. Peters "Bell" Lutheran parochial school. She married Roy Bosacker on December 20, 1939 at St. Peters "Bell" Church with Rev. Cloeter officiating. After getting married, she and her husband farmed in Le Sueur County near Le Center until 1943 when they moved to rural Kilkenny where they continued to live and farm. Alma raised chickens and always had a big garden and plenty of flower beds. She enjoyed dancing, fishing, card playing, and visiting with family and friends. She was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Kilkenny, County Line Chefs Home Extension, and the Kilkenny Senior Citizens.
Alma is survived by one son, Daryl (Alice) Bosacker of Kilkenny; grandchildren, Sue (Terry) Wagner of Morristown, Cindy (Dave) Johnson of Owatonna, and Elaine (Tim) Meek of Byron; great grandchildren, Holly (Jon) Melchert, Laura Wagner (fiancé, Charlie Weber), Ashley (Tom) Holst, Tiffany (Greg) Gehring, Tim Johnson, Justin Johnson, Katie Meek, Naomi Meek, and Cecelia Meek; and great great grandchildren, Evelyn Melchert and Gavin Holst. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings, Irene Morsching, Mildred (Paul) Ramsey, Verona (Lee) Stadtherr, Edna (Paul) Loeffler, Gilbert (Olive) Steinberg, and Arnold (Nancy) Steinberg. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 10:30 AM at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Kilkenny. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Le Sueur County. Visitation will be held on Saturday, one hour before services at the church.
