Alexus 'Lexi' Rose Tiegs
ALEXUS "LEXI" ROSE TIEGS, age 15 of Waseca, was a beautiful girl inside and out.  A happy, helpful, kind-hearted person who loved her family and friends more than anything else, Lexi passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 following an automobile accident.
Born in Owatonna on April 26, 2004, Lexi was the daughter of Jacqueline (LaMont) Tiegs and Dale Tiegs.  She lived in Waseca and attended Team Academy before moving on to Waseca Jr.-Sr. High School.  She loved school and was ranked 20th of 142 students, with a high GPA of 3.9.  She was actively involved with the Waseca High School choirs and she enjoyed her involvement at St. Paul Lutheran in Waseca – especially mission work.  She was employed at the Holiday Inn in Owatonna and recently began working at the Pizza Ranch in Waseca.  She was known to take a lot of pride in her work and was always willing to help coworkers whenever needed.  Lexi loved her "large vanilla iced coffee with two Splendas" and had one almost daily.  She also loved spending time with her dad at gun shows and at the shooting range.
Lexi is survived by her mother, Jacqueline Tiegs and her friend Bobby Shrock of Waseca; her father, Dale (Lynn Kopperud) Tiegs of Waseca; her sisters, Sammi Jo Tiegs and her friend Curt Wigley of Mankato, and Haley Dawson and her friend Jake Jenkins of Waseca; her grandmothers, Esther LaMont and Beatrice Tiegs; and many aunts; uncles; cousins; and friends.  She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Elmer Tiegs and Gerald LaMont; and several other family members.
Visitation will be held from 3-8PM on Monday, October 28, 2019 at the Waseca Jr.-Sr. High School Performing Arts Center and will continue one hour prior to the service at the school on Tuesday.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at the Waseca Jr.-Sr. High School Performing Arts Center.  Interment will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
